Dreams from the Dumbplumber

It was during a dream, while I was talking to Eric Trump, at a small gathering of family and friends that it came to me.  Dreaming is a little like writing.  It is the opportunity to look at things from different directions.  Like when you are dreaming, writing allows you to see beyond, behind and through things that you cannot see when awake.  Writing lets your brain wander, so that obstacles or people that may be in the way are removed through imagination.

It came to me upon awakening that I am seldom ‘surprised’ during a dream.  Amazed, bewildered, depressed or amused, but never surprised.  Because the mind can see everything at one time.  It amazed Eric Trump too.  He thought it was pretty incredible.

I mentioned to Eric that during writing, some blockbuster, bombshell thought would often come to me, but it had no place in the current piece.  However, as the posting or piece developed, the earlier thought would weave itself seamlessly into the writing.

I dunno, I’m just a Dumbplumber, who likes to write.

Hey Colin

Colin Powell: GOP Candidates ‘Junior High’ Antics ‘Belittle The Country’

Well, from the headline above I can see why our voters are so confused.

Hey Colin, I would suggest to you that having a $20 trillion national debt-- going up over $2 billion a day-- while having an overall $70 trillion in unfunded liabilities and 90 million out of the workforce, with the highest rate of “totally disabled” and the highest food stamp recipients and lowest workforce participation in recent history isn’t doing much to make the country look any better either.  In fact Colin, I would further suggest that making our friends enemies and enemies our friends, when the new friends hate our guts and intend to kill us may be a little higher on the belittling scale than any frat boy antics could ever achieve.

So before you make any more of an ass out of yourself than you already have, you might take a look around America and decide sooner rather than later what it will take to straighten this thing out, since what your buddies have been doing, so far, ain’t working.

Election Fraud has Consequences

I have often wondered how many cold, stiff, decomposing bodies of treasonous, lying, vote- stealing, election fraudsters it would take to 'waffle the will' of those inclined to tamper with an American free election.   How long would it take the rest of the cabal to figure out that messing with the will of the people has consequences, not enforced by those paid to do so?

And would those, that took the Oath of Office to protect and defend the Constitution, put the same effort in thwarting and arresting folks that tamper with an election, as they would finding and prosecuting those that actually put a stop to it?

There should be no punishment too harsh for the crime of tampering with Freedom, Liberty and the Will of the People.

Credit the Donald

Dumbplumber has placed this post on two national blogs, but it needs to be here too.

As to Trump’s preparations for this run, his history, his qualifications, let no one forget that Trump has been talking about the presidency since the mid 80’s.  There are many interviews with him expressing interest in the office, because America means so much to him.

No one should underestimate a man, who has turned millions into billions and has built projects so complex and thought UN-doable.  He has cajoled seasoned politicians into funding and construction agreements envied around the world.  He has baffled bureaucrats with his innovative thinking and made mincemeat out of municipal representatives, when they said he COULDN’T do something.  And all the while he raised his children and hired management executives with the same talents for getting things done.

But now, we gnash our teeth and clutch our pearls with anxiety that Mr. Trump may NOT have thought of this or thought of that.  We panic with the notion that some misfortune may befall our chosen leader, because he may have underestimated a risk or overestimated a result.

What we are NOT doing is placing the credit and confidence in the very man that has attained so much, so fast.  A man who, by our own admission, has not only been contemplating this moment for so long, but has also shown a capacity for anticipating every pitfall, peril and consequence.  Will he not see the ramifications of what he said or has done?

Oh Hell yeah.  But please point out to me anyone who has never made a misstep and lived to regret it.  The difference here is, that most of the “missteps” are in reality “traps” set to draw in the hypocrites among us.  And the rest are reasonable mistakes accepted by those of us who would not jump ship for anyone else on the stage.  Mr. Trump is only human, which is what makes him one of us.  Yes rich, but still one of us.
